Scoring and results

Result emails and PDF reports

Test delivery and downloads separately.

1. Understand the three separate pieces

The result screen, saved report/PDF and result email are separate. Report design controls the saved report and PDF; it does not replace the quiz player’s result layout. The email contains a private result link where the recipient can open and download their report. It is not an automatic marketing campaign or a PDF attachment sent to every captured lead.

2. Customize the email wording

In the guided editor, open the results step and expand Result email copy. In the full editor, look for Result email copy alongside Report design in Quiz Completion & Outcomes. Fill Email subject, Email introduction and Email sign-off (optional). You can use {quiz_title} and {brand_name}. For example: subject “Your {quiz_title} result”; introduction “Here is your result and a practical next step. Open your private report using the link below.” Click Apply email copy. Wait for Saved, then Publish for new responses. The sample preview never sends an email; existing responses retain their original copy.

3. Design the PDF

Expand Report design. Choose Editorial or Executive, decide whether to add a cover, and edit the available title, introduction, sections and call to action. Click Apply report design, wait for Saved and Publish. The live sample is illustrative; use an actual completed test response to verify PDF pagination. Logos, images and videos remain online rather than appearing in the native PDF.

4. Request a result email as a respondent

Complete the published quiz. In Keep your result, select Create private result link. When delivery is configured, Email your result appears. Enter your own test address, check “Email me my private result link”, and select Email my result. This is a separate request from marketing consent. A quiz email field alone does not trigger this request. If you only see a local test option, that environment does not send real emails.

5. Verify the report and delivery

Open the saved result and download its PDF. Check the outcome, scores, advice, page breaks and destination link. In the creator’s response reporting, inspect Result email delivery and select Refresh delivery. Queued means waiting; accepted means the provider received it; delivered means the recipient mail server accepted it. None proves inbox placement. Check both Inbox and Junk in your own test mailbox.

6. If the expected option is missing

First confirm you completed a published quiz rather than editor Preview. Create the private result link before looking for Email your result. If email is still absent, delivery may not be configured for the environment; changing the subject will not connect the provider. Record the visible state and approximate test time for the operator, without sharing the private link or recipient details in AI chat. Private links last 30 days after completion, and anyone holding one can view its report.
