1. Choose a field
Use a short answer for a brief response, email for an address, multiple choice for one choice, and multi-select for several. Use display fields for supporting content rather than expecting them to collect answers.
2. Make the purpose clear
Use a short question title and a description when context matters. Mark a field required only when it is needed. Keep contact collection brief and explain why you are asking.
3. Preview the experience
Check long labels, mobile layout, required-field errors and the Back button. Page tabs organize fields; enable Fields together by page if they should appear on a single screen.
