Customize the downloadable report
Use the report controls rather than only changing the quiz theme.
1. Choose a style
In report design, choose Editorial for open spacing and accent rules, or Executive for a dark masthead and shaded score panels. Enable Add a separate cover page to the PDF if the report needs its own cover.
2. Write the introduction
Edit Report title, Report subtitle, Opening introduction and Closing footer note. A blank report title uses the saved quiz title. Keep the introduction useful to the recipient and avoid repeating every result paragraph.
3. Arrange supporting sections
Toggle and reorder the available supporting sections with the up/down controls. The result summary, scores, category guidance and missing-information notices remain. Optional sections appear only when a particular result contains them. A custom report button can override the saved result button, but not buttons inside additional result sections.
4. Apply and verify
Select Apply report design. Merely editing the panel is not the same as applying it. Save and publish the quiz, generate a synthetic result, download its PDF and check page breaks, long text and links. Check more than one outcome.
5. Find and apply the controls
In the guided editor, open the results step and expand Report design. The full editor also includes Report design alongside the result email copy controls in Quiz Completion & Outcomes. Edit the fields, review the sample, and select Apply report design. Wait for Saved and then Publish. Unapplied settings are not included in the saved quiz.
6. Example: a concise executive assessment
Choose Executive, enable a cover only if you want a separate introduction page, write a title such as Your readiness report and a short introduction explaining the assessment. Include the score/category information and practical next steps relevant to your quiz. Set a helpful call-to-action label and a valid destination. Avoid including sections that the quiz cannot populate.
7. Understand the preview and existing reports
The sample preview uses fixed example data; it is not a participant record and is not an exact PDF pagination preview. Complete a fresh published quiz and download the actual report to check long text and page breaks. Existing responses retain their original report settings, so a previously created report is not a valid test of the new design.
8. Troubleshoot PDF differences
The native PDF uses bundled fonts and readable accent colors. Logos, images and videos stay online. Some writing systems require Print / Save as PDF. Check both the saved online result and the downloaded file before assuming the report design failed. If Apply is disabled, correct the visible validation errors or resolve stale settings using the panel’s available reload/discard controls.
